Religious Education

"Continue to Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ”

2 Peter 3:18 Our mission with the guidance of the Holy Spirit is to seek and proclaim the sacred scripture and to educate our families in faith formation through the preparation of the Holy Sacraments.  As Jesus quoted in Matthew 19:14:“Let the children come to me and do not stop them because the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”  Our ministry is to assist families in fulfilling the universal church’s mission to evangelize and catechize our parents and their children.  Through support and training of our catechetical leaders and catechists, we are prepared to nurture the catholic faith to our parish children.  Religious Formation begins with grade 1 with on-going formation to receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation.

CONFIRMATION CLASS OF 2017

We extend our congratulations to the following candidates who will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation on Sunday, May 21st at Saint Anthony Church.  May God’s Holy Spirit fill their minds and hearts with every necessary blessing to strengthen their commitment to Jesus Christ.  May their example be a source of inspiration for their younger brothers and sisters of our parish family.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION CONGRATULATIONS

We extend our congratulations to the following children who will receive the Sacrament of  Holy Eucharist for the first time on Sunday, May 7th. May the Lord Jesus fill their minds and hearts with every necessary blessing to keep them close to Him. May the example of their parents, relatives, and friends of our Parish Family be a source of inspiration to them.

May God’s choice blessing come upon Sister Carol Ann Murray, and Sister Diane Pederzani, our First    Eucharist and Penance Directors, for their untiring efforts to bring these children to a better knowledge of Jesus Christ and his Church. Our parish is indebted to them in a special way.
