Dear Parishioners,

We received some sad news this past week that Father Nolasco’s mother suffered a stroke just days before he was scheduled to return from Colombia from his annual vacation.  Please keep Olga Alvarez in your prayers that she may continue to recover.  Father has extended his stay until he could make the proper arrangements for his mother’s care. Pray for Father Nolasco too as he just celebrated his 44th birthday that God will keep him strong during this difficult time.  He should be back for next weekend.

God bless your week!

Father Ed

SPONSOR CERTIFICATE REQUESTS

Please note that our policy is that anyone officially registered in any of the three parishes and attending Mass regularly has the privilege of becoming a sponsor for a Baptism or Confirmation.  Just call the rectory during normal business hours (not Saturdays or Sundays) to arrange to obtain it.  Anyone else must meet with      Father Ed personally and he is usually available after the  8 AM Sunday Mass at Saint Anthony Church. Having a family member who may be registered doesn’t entitle anyone who is not registered and participating to receive a certificate.  If anyone anticipates that they will be asked to be a sponsor the best course of action is to properly register and start attending Mass before seeking the required permission.

Outreach Mobile Lunch Ministry - Christmas Day

What an amazing way to spend Christmas Morning, preparing our mobile lunches for delivery.  Approximately 30+ individuals showed up to receive the lunches and food provided by our Outreach Ministry.  In addition to the food.  Each recipient was given a sweatshirt or fleece jacket (collected by Youth Ministry during the Coat Drive) to provide some additional warm during the harsh winter months. (Some reflection of Christmas morning coming soon)
