THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK

We are called to live not as one without others, above or against others, but with and for others.

MISSION TRIP UPDATES

Many of our Parishioners have asked what they can do to     support our July Mission Trip to Guatemala. After three years of mission work the most important help you can give us is a monetary Gift.   Please have checks made out to St. Anthony Church, with “Mission Trip” in the memo section.  While so many people responded to the clothing and sneaker drive, the largest problem was transporting them to our destinations in the 24 suit cases it required.   It was only in Guatemala that we realized that our American dollar can go even further in a Walmart in Guatemala City. So this year we are asking you to consider  a few options:

  1. Yes you can donate clothing, underwear, socks, or any other clothing for ages 5, 6, 7 or 8 year old boy or girl.  School supplies are welcome.  These items  will be shipped in the middle of June and will arrive for our visit in July.. All donations need to be at the parish by the weekend of June 15th

  2. Monetary donations will go to support our trip, as well as provide scholarships to students at the school. We learned that many children are kept home from school because families cannot afford the school registration fee, and that is very sad.

Thank you for your kind and continued support
